We have been introduced to a "theology" that helps normal, everyday Christians know how to help friends who are struggling. Imagine a community of believers that move beyond platitudes and empty promises ("I'll pray for you...") to deep, scriptural, Christ-like relationships. We have learned that no one gives grace better than a person who is convinced that he needs it himself. We have learned through the study of biblical counseling that God makes his invisible grace visible by sending ordinary people to give extraordinary grace to people who need it.
The task of Biblical Counseling is the task of loving others well, no matter where others begin from. Biblical Counseling demonstrates what the love of Christ looks like, how to extend it to others, and how to accept it from others as we live in relationships together.
We continue to study simple, insightful, and practical Biblical guidelines to walking together with people through times of trouble. There are currently six of us (three male, three female) who are in the process of becoming certified Biblical Counselors through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). We have learned that through the study of Biblical Counseling that we are both needy in our spiritual walk, but also needed by others.
We are bikers and we've learned much from the inerrant Word; confidential counseling is a by-product of our studies, using what we have learned in our combined 15-20 years of studying the unsearchable riches of Christ.
Young or old or in-between, boy or girl, married or single, we are here to help you. We have many locations around Greene and Albany counties where we meet with with our counselees. It could be a quiet room at your church, or a kitchen table at home, or even a neutral place like a private corner at Dunkin' Donuts.
